Services
QuERI data covers services with production and market demand assumed to be equal. Topline data for service categories comes from UNSNA (Standard National Accounts) data bases filled in using models where necessary. Gross Output estimates are available for broad service groups while slightly more detail is available based on value-added (wages, profits, and indirect taxes) estimates. Value added data from the UN is available for more countries and more product categories. Using the value added data with the gross output data we can develop estimates of gross output for more countries and in greater detail. There are15 broad based ISIC2 service production data. Market demand at the 6 digit NAICS level is derived using detailed country specific IO tables based on production data drawn from the UN Production data described above. Detailed market demand – the combined requirements of primary, manufactures and service industries, as well final demand from private consumers, investors, and government is adjusted to be equal to separate estimates from UN SNA data of service sector gross output. Aggregates from the NAICS 6 level data are used to develop separate estimates of ISIC3 and ISIC2 detail service data. |
